Yu.F. Melikhov (b. 1946) graduated from the Kursk State Pedagogical Institute in 1970. Ph. D. (Phys.-Math.), assoc. professor, head of department for general technical disciplines of the Kursk State University, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. Author of 82 publications in the field of molecular acoustics, physics of condensed state, physics of high pressures, thermal physics and theoretical heat engineering.
