V.S. Sarkisyan (b. 1935) graduated from the Yerevan State University. D. Sc. (Phys.-Math.), professor, full member of National Academy of Sciences of Republic of Armenia, Honored Scientific Worker of Armenia, dean of Faculty for Mechanics of the Yerevan State University. Member of National Committees on theoretical and applied mechanics of the Russian Federation and Republic of Armenia, member of International Society on integration of Mechanics and Mathematics an amember of European Society of mechanicians. Author of more than 300 publications, 7 monographs and 12 books in the field of mechanics of deformed solid body.
