A.O. Polyakov (b. 1946) graduated from the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute in 1972. D. Sc. (Eng.), professor of the Department for Intellectual Control Systems of the Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic University, leading researcher and member of academic and dissertation councils of the Saint-Petersburg Institute for Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Full member of Academy of Engineering Sciences of the Russian Federation. Author of over 120 publications, including 8 monographs, in the field of informatics and control in complex systems.
