Abstract

The article presents the synthesis of a phase-pure lev levynite-type zeolite with 100 % crystallinity based on the mineral resources of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The influence of temperature, alkaline activator concentration, and hydrothermal treatment duration on the crystallization rate and selectivity of levynite-type zeolite formation was studied. It was shown that hydrothermal treatment was studied in the temperature range of 100--300 °C, in a solution NaOH with a concentration of 10--35 % for 50--150 h. The optimal crystallization parameters ensuring 100 % crystallinity and phase purity of levynite were established: temperature of 200 °C, concentration NaOH of 20--30 %, and treatment time of 100 hours. The starting components and products were subjected to a comprehensive study using X-ray phase analysis, IR spectral analysis, derivatographic analysis, elemental analysis, and scanning electron microscopy. The data obtained showed that deviations from optimal synthesis parameters lead to a decrease in process selectivity and the formation of side phases. These studies are consistent with modern trends in the development of green technologies and sustainable environmental management, create a scientific basis for further research, improve the development of new systems in zeolite synthesis, and facilitate the discovery of new ways to create cheaper and more efficient catalysts and adsorbents
