About Lidar Method of Petroleum Film Detection on Water Surface

A method of oil pollutants detection is considered on the basis of active laser location of the water surface. It is shown that the laser method, using special geometrical scheme for scanning the surface, allows monitoring independently the simultaneous occurrence of two effects — smoothing the wind disturbance on the surface and changing the water surface reflection factor, and due to these, making highly reliable decisions on petroleum pollutants available.
