Computing Cluster for Training and Experiments. Part 1. Tools and Possibilities

The computing cluster for training and experiments of "Applied Mathematics" department of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University is presented. The notions of logic and hardware structures of a computing system are introduced for description of the cluster and the high-efficient computation models. Basic technical specifications of the created system are given. Results of estimation of the computing cluster efficiency using the Linpack Benchmark test are presented. Variants of the system application in the educational and research activity are discussed.
