An approach is proposed which allows improving an accuracy of simulation of the viscous incompressible medium flows by the vortex element method. The efficiency of the method application is illustrated by an example of a problem of a flow past a single circular profile. A problem of a flow past a pair of circular profiles with their different mutual disposition is considered. Typical structures of vortex wakes formed behind the profiles are given, and values of stationary aerodynamic coefficients are calculated which satisfactorily agree with experimental results and calculation data of the other authors.
