The heat conduction problem is numerically solved with local action of the short-duration heat pulse on the cylindrical specimen surface with the heating surface in the form of circle. Ranges of errors in determining the material's thermal characteristics by the pulse method are estimated with the account for the radiation heat exchange with the environment.
