A vortex method of modeling of 3D flows of ideal incompressible medium is discussed. As a vortex element, a vortex-segment is used that is described by coordinates of its center, directing vector and intensity. A mathematical model of such vortex motion is created and a test problem on mess of vortex rings is considered. It is shown that the vortex-segment model allows obtaining more precise results as compared to other models of vortexes.
