The scattering of a narrow light beam on the path with reflection through the turbid medium is studied. An expression is obtained for the received power during pulse mono-static sounding by the small specular reflector in the medium with the strong anisotropic scattering. It is shown that the strongly scattering medium greatly distorts the form of the received echo. The echo amplitude for the turbid medium may exceed the one in absence of medium.
