Peculiarities of application of general-purpose graphic processor units (by example of nVidia©CUDA technology) for parallelizing computations are considered. Aspects of program implementation of parallel algorithms are discussed, in particular the efficient use of thread processors and videoadapter's memory. The efficiency of parallelizing computations is shown by example of solving problems of gamma-radiation transport in matter.
