On Physical Meaning of Similarity Phase of Deviators and Possibility of Its Determination by Results of Testing at Simple Stress States

Relations for the similarity phase of deviators and difference of Lode parameters are analyzed. The interconnection of these magnitudes and possibility of its representation as a ratio of mixed invariants, having a dimension of work of stresses on strains, are shown, which gives them a new interpretation. A technique to determine these magnitudes and nonlinear shear characteristics is proposed. Their dependence on the stress state for various structural materials is investigated.
