The general classification of models of viscoelastic media with finite strains is suggested on the basis of both energetic couples of the stress and strain tensors and also new, quasi-energetic couples of tensors, being introduced in this paper. Positions of existing elastic and viscoelastic models for media with large strains are indicated in this classification and new viscoelasticity models are suggested. Various models are compared, with polyurethane elastomers taken as an example, and their advantages and drawbacks are discussed.
