On Stabilization of a Circular System by Nonlinear Dissipative Forces

A problem on stabilization of circular system with two degrees of freedom by nonlinear dissipative forces is solved. It is shown that the influence of dissipative forces is ambiguous: they can both stabilize the circular system up to the asymptotical stability and destabilize it.
