The temperature dependence of the electron distribution near the metal surface is found for the case of temperatures below the Fermi temperature. It is shown that the electron-density diffusion near the metal surface increases as the electron temperature rises. The case of temperatures above the Fermi temperature is considered separately.It is demonstrated that the electron-density growth with a temperature rise occurs within a sufficiently extensive area
