Design calculations are presented which describe the creation of the dipole moment of an aerosol particle in the ionized gas and the arising rotation of particles with respect to an axis perpendicular to the external electric field. Based on the derived equations a relation is determined between an angular rate of the particles and a particle size and the external electric field intensity.
