Problems of calculation of the stress and strain state of a hollow thick-wall cylinder under the pressure and tangential load, moving inside it with a constant velocity, are solved. The cylinder having elastic strains is located inside a rigid shell with two kinds of fit. Calculation results are compared to the stress and strain state of a free cylinder and are used in the selection of an optimal construction of a barrel for ballistic facilities.
