While solving a problem of wave propagation along the charged horizontal surface of the two-liquid interface, in the derived dispersion equation a term is obtained that is nonlinear with regard to the wave frequency and ratio of densities of the liquids. The obtained dispersion relation is investigated in various limiting cases. Notions of dispersion media and waves are considered. An attempt is made to classify them strictly. Influence of electric field on evolution of wave packets is investigated.
